Combainer Sergei Mai from Mogilev district set a record of Belarus for grain threshing - 7 thousand 55 tons

The name of the senior combiner CJSC "Servoix Agro" Mogilev district Sergey May has long been inscribed among the leading grain growers. However, the current harvesting campaign brought him a real triumph, reports sb.by. Sergey was the first in the Mogilev region to thresh seven thousand tons of grain without corn, which is his personal record. He also led the race of leaders in the country, threshing by 16:30 on September 11 an impressive 7 thousand 55 tons.

The well-deserved honoring of the leader of the harvest took place directly at the workplace - in a field near the agro-town of Mahovo. Honorary guests arrived to share the joy of victory and express gratitude for the selfless work: Chairman of the Mogilev Regional Executive Committee Anatoly Isachenko, Assistant to the President - Inspector for the Mogilev Region Nadezhda Kotkovets, First Deputy Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee Sergey Savitsky, Chairman of the Mogilev Regional Committee of the AIC Workers' Union Vladimir Petrovich, as well as Director of Servoix Agro CJSC Vasily Mazurik.

Chairman of the Mogilev Regional Executive Committee Anatoly Isachenko stressed that people like Sergei May can and should be relied on:

- They'll never fail. Fortunately, we have a lot of these guys. The bar of 2, 3, 4 thousand tons of grain has already become something ordinary, although in the recent past we congratulated for the first thousand and said: “This is the result!” Their success is not a momentary action, but a pattern. This stability is really amazing. Today we congratulated not only the harvester, but also his wife Olga, and in her person – all the families of farmers. The guys work from morning to late evening, so they need comfort and support at home. Sergey has three children, and a huge burden falls on the shoulders of his wife. A huge thank you to her and all the wives, mothers, all the women who create a reliable rear. It is their care that gives our men the opportunity to achieve such high results.

Just recently, the rate of harvest in Belarus was set by Pavel Shutilo from OJSC “Kukhchitsy” of Kletsk district, but he has already completed the harvesting of grain at around 7 thousand 43 tons. Sergei May, who bypassed him, admits that he did not follow the balance of forces and was very surprised by his achievement.

- In previous years, my maximum grain harvest was just over six thousand tons. We managed to surpass it due to good yield, modern equipment and a class team. Seven thousand tons is not just my number. It's all farmwork. For example, the efforts of the engineering service allowed to work all season without breakdowns. Of course, family support is also incredibly important. At home I understand, wait, support. So, the bar should be kept further, says Sergei May.

Special guests of the solemn ceremony in the bread field were a large and friendly family of the leader of the harvest - wife Olga, sons Dmitry and Igor, as well as the younger daughter Evelina. The family of the baker understands perfectly well how important and responsible the work of his father, so during the period of suffering at home create all the conditions for Sergei to fully give strength to work.

While the head of the family is working in the field, 13-year-old and 12-year-old boys take on male chores, such as mowing grass, and a 6-year-old daughter helps her mother around the house.

Olga May shares:

- We are very proud of our father, especially when we see him on the news, newspapers and TV. During the harvest, we try to protect him, find the right words of support. On rare rainy days, when there is a forced break in the field, we give you a full rest - we do not load household tasks and unnecessary information. We understand that this is a great common important work for the country, which brings good returns for our family.

The money earned from the harvest, the May family plans to spend on the improvement of their home. Not so long ago, the farm allocated a large family new housing with an area of about 55 square meters, and now all the forces of households are aimed at carrying out high-quality repairs in it.

Merited congratulations and gifts were received by five more employees of the economy, who demonstrated outstanding results in their work. Drivers Nikolai Kurakin, Evgeny Novikov and Sergey Pukhovsky were awarded for high performance on grain transportation, each of whom transported more than 5 thousand tons. In the ranks of harvesters-thousanders, high awards were received by tractor drivers Grigory Bokach, who threshed 5 thousand tons, and Arthur Darius, who reached the mark of 4 thousand tons of grain.
