The head of the Tambov administration Maxim Kosenkov held a meeting of the city commission on road safety and development of the road network. During the meeting, the information of the State Traffic Inspectorate on accident rates in the city for nine months was considered.
According to the Agency, the total number of incidents compared to last year decreased. However, as Kosenkov noted, new problematic addresses have appeared that require special monitoring. The head of the administration stressed that each recorded case of an accident, specialists will carefully study to understand whether it was an accident or a signal to additional measures to organize traffic.
During the meeting, members of the commission considered a number of initiatives. In particular, the proposal to organize left turns from Sovetskaya Street to Stepan Razin and from K. Marx to Studenetskaya Embankment was rejected when driving from Kuibyshev Street.
At the same time, the establishment of an unregulated pedestrian crossing along Bastionnaya Street in the area of the Church of the New Martyrs and Confessors of the Russian Church at the Polynkovo cemetery was supported. Work will be organized.
Also at the meeting discussed the issue of travel from Senko street to the territory of Tambov-4, which rises not the first year. Opinions of members of the commission and residents of the district were divided. Maxim Kosenkov said that the final decision should be made only after a full assessment of the organization of traffic through the territory of the former flight town. Specialists will study this issue and present a conclusion, which will then be discussed with residents of the district.
