As a result of consideration of the appeal of a 76-year-old resident of the region, it became known that he did not receive a preferential drug within the period established by law. According to the prescription, he was prescribed the drug erythropoietin in the form of a solution of 10,000 IU in the amount of 9 vials. However, despite the fact that the prescription was registered for deferred service at the pharmacy on August 17, 2026, the drug was not provided within the deadline established by law due to the lack of necessary drugs in pharmacies.
The prescribed medicine is recombinant (artificially created) erythropoietin. It stimulates the production of red blood cells in the bone marrow, so that the level of hemoglobin and hematocrit increases, and tissues are better supplied with oxygen. They are treated with anemia in chronic renal failure, anemia in cancer patients and HIV-infected patients. The drug is also prescribed in preparation for operations.
On September 30, Deputy Head of the Department of the Territorial Authority of Roszdravnadzor Alena Kanaan issued a warning to the Health Committee of the Leningrad Region and instructed to take measures to ensure compliance with the mandatory requirements of the Federal Law No. 323-FZ of 21.11.2011 “On the Fundamentals of Public Health Protection in the Russian Federation”.
Earlier, “MK in Leningrad region” wrote that some residents again had questions about the state of the building of the clinic in the village of Vyritsa.
