Concert-requiem "Every third", dedicated to the demographic and human losses of Belarus during the Great Patriotic War, was held in Nizhny Novgorod. The project, the poetic basis of which was the “Requiem for every fourth” by Anatoly Vertinsky, continues a tour of Russian cities, the correspondent of the agency “Minsk-Novosti”.
According to the First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of Belarus Vladimir Pertsov, the choice of the Nizhny Novgorod site is not accidental. In Soviet times, this region was a key military-industrial center that supplied the front with weapons and equipment, and the memory of the exploits of ancestors is carefully preserved here.
- We are bringing this project to Russia, because our closest relatives live here who are able to understand and share the tragedy that the Belarusian people experienced during the war, Beltsov said. - We lost one in three. They were not only regular soldiers, but also women, the elderly and children killed simply for living on their land.

The format of the performance, combining multimedia technologies, poetry and music (both classics and modern works), is aimed primarily at young people to convey to them the scale of the historical tragedy.

The premiere of the concert took place in May 2024 on Poklonnaya Hill in Moscow. In April 2025, the project was shown in the Minsk Palace of the Republic, and in 2026 the tour covered Kazan and St. Petersburg.

General producer and scriptwriter Anna Seluk noted that the reaction of viewers in different cities remains unchanged: guests leave the hall with the idea that this project should be seen by as many people as possible.
- We very much expect that the viewer will feel this project as we feel it, and will be imbued with it. Then we can be sure that it is not in vain that we brought a piece of the Belarusian soul to this beautiful city, said Anna Seluk.

She specified that this year concerts are also planned in Ufa, Yekaterinburg, Chelyabinsk and Novosibirsk. Negotiations are already underway to include Volgograd in the tour schedule next year, and a request has also been received from Sochi.

- We are fraternal peoples, we feel this sacred theme of the Great Patriotic War. It is necessary to preserve memory and historical truth, especially for young people, the producer stressed, adding that in all cities the administration and venues are meeting in organizing shows.
In addition to the music program, three thematic exhibitions were launched on the site. The photo exhibition “Fate Stacked in a Triangle” presented authentic front letters, postcards and archival photographs.

A special emphasis was made in Nizhny Novgorod at the interactive exhibition “Partisans of Belarus”. It was based on archival award lists, personal files and combat registers of participants of the partisan movement in the BSSR, who were natives of Nizhny Novgorod (since 1932 bearing the name Gorky) and Gorky region.

The third exposition, prepared by Minskkhlebprom, was called “Bread – the Invisible Power of Victory”. Visitors were offered to try several types of bread recreated by technologists according to recipes of the 1940s, including besieged, Stalingrad, Rzhevsky, as well as barley and huzge bread.
