Geomagnetic environment during the day will develop in waves. During daylight hours, the magnetosphere over the Siberian capital will remain relatively calm. The Kp index will fluctuate within a neutral background – from 1 to 2 points.
The situation will begin to change towards the end of the day. By midnight and on the night of October 21, a sharp jump in activity is expected - the Kp index will rise to 3-4 points (excited state). Then it will begin in a full-fledged G1-class geomagnetic storm and will linger for several days.
According to the specialists of the Solar Astronomy Laboratory of IKI RAS and ISZF, the active center on the Sun is now located directly opposite the Earth, so any flares can have a direct impact on the planet. The probability of occurrence of medium-range outbreaks of class M on these days is 70%, and extreme explosions of class X - 10-15%.
Meteo-dependent Novosibirsk, especially people with diseases of the cardiovascular system, hypertension and frequent migraines, doctors advise to prepare for the evening weather deterioration in advance. It is recommended to reduce the level of physical activity, temporarily abandon the use of strong coffee and fatty foods, drink more clean water, control blood pressure and monitor the quality of sleep.
