In the natural park "Bird's Harbor" in Omsk noticed a white azurevika, which is also called the prince. This small bird is considered one of the rarest tits and is listed in the Red Books of Russia and the Omsk region. To meet it in nature is a great luck for the observer.
As reported on the page of the park in “Vkontakte”, the white Azurevo is modest in size. The length of her body is only 12-15 cm, the wingspan is 19-22 cm, and the weight is from 10 to 16 grams. In size it is inferior even to a sparrow.
From the usual adoring prince can be distinguished by a white “cap” on his head instead of blue. The bird leads a secretive lifestyle and prefers to stay in thickets near water bodies, dense undergrowth and among the reeds, so you can see it infrequently.
There is a white azurevo and an unusual feature: with a strong beak, it splits the hard stems of reed to get to the insects hidden inside the larvae. The bird arranges a nest in a hollow, and only the female is engaged in construction and arrangement.
The image of the white azurevo can be seen in the park itself - the bird is depicted on one of the mosaic panels of the "Bird's Harbor".
