“A strong family is a happy country”: women peacekeepers were honored in Minsk

On Mother’s Day, October 14, in the shopping center “Capital” honored women peacekeepers of the Moscow district, reports the correspondent of the Agency “Minsk-Novosti”.

The event “Strong family – happy country” became part of the Republican campaign “Glory to the Peacemaker Woman!”. The action was initiated by the public association “Belarusian Peace Fund” within the framework of the project “Peace Begins with Women”. The celebration was attended by the Chairman of the Minsk City Council, Chairman of the Council of the Minsk City Branch of the Belarusian Party “White Rus” Artem Tsuran. The role of women peacemakers in our country cannot be overestimated.

- Every woman who lives in a family and raises a child is a woman peacemaker, Tsuran said. Mother’s love and energy are the foundation of the world.

In Belarus, a woman mother and a woman worker are surrounded by special respect.

- We have the Year of the Woman and many holidays that highlight her role, he said. This suggests that the country is set for peace, goodness and help to others. All this comes from upbringing, from the first warm words and hands that each of us felt thanks to our mother.

The main purpose of the action is to express gratitude to women for their contribution to preserving peace, preserving historical memory, strengthening harmony in society and educating a new generation of citizens.

As part of the celebration, a thematic photo exhibition “The Female Face of Success” was organized. Her heroines were outstanding women peacemakers of the Moscow district from various fields: from education and medicine to industry and social activities. Every photo and every story is a living example of inspiration, maternal love and beauty.

The Chairman of the Minsk City Council noted that the holiday united women of various professions. But all of them are bound together by an infinite respect for maternal labor and the creative power of women. Addressing the audience, A. Tsuran emphasized the importance of family values.

- I want to address young people. Don’t be afraid to start a family and take responsibility. Life difficulties and trials are much easier to pass together. Material difficulties, which at first seem insurmountable, are solved. You can build a career, solve material issues, but the creation of a family cannot be postponed. Therefore, I wish everyone good, good relations, pure love and more children.

The Chairman of the Board of the Minsk City Branch of the Belarusian Peace Fund Dmitry Karan also addressed women:

Mother and woman are the most beautiful words on earth. Many kind words have been said about you as a woman, as a mother, and as a worker. And it's fair, it's deserved. You are doing a lot for our country: creating, creating and strengthening its economy. You set an example for the younger generation. I wholeheartedly congratulate you on this day. May the world always be with you.

The holiday in the shopping center "Capital" was a vivid confirmation of the fact that women mothers are valued and respected in Belarus, their contribution to the future of the country. A strong family is the basis of a happy and peaceful life.
