Krotenko* wanted: a new case was opened against a foreign agent-extortioner

In respect of Yevgeny Krotenko* opened another criminal case. This was reported by the press service of the regional management of the TFR. The reason was non-compliance with the procedure of the foreign agent. Earlier, Krotenko* was already wanted in the case of extortion of 300 thousand rubles from oligarch Sergei Weinstein.

As the investigation established, from October 2025 to February 2026, Krotenko* posted publications in his Telegram channel, without marking them as materials of a foreign agent. Previously, he was brought to administrative responsibility for similar violations.

A new case was initiated under Part 2 of Art. 330.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The maximum sanction of this article is imprisonment for up to 2 years.

At the same time, Krotenko* remains a defendant in the case of extortion from the Chelyabinsk businessman Weinstein. According to the investigation, for 300 thousand rubles, he promised not to spread defamatory information about the entrepreneur.

In the same case, local blogger Sergey Shumakov was under investigation. He has already been assigned 3 years of general regime. Krotenko himself is on the federal wanted list.
