Crimea October 17-19 will be covered by heavy rains and floods

In the Crimea on October 17-19, very heavy rains, thunderstorms and squally winds are expected. This was reported in GU EMERCOM on the Crimea.

These days, rains are expected in the Crimea, sometimes very strong, with thunderstorms. The southwestern wind will increase to 15-20 meters per second, and in some areas, gusts will reach 25 meters per second.

On the day of October 18 and during the day of October 19, water levels are predicted to rise on the rivers of the Crimea with the achievement of unfavorable levels. In the basins of mudflow rivers there is a threat of mudflow of small volumes.

In such conditions, the probability of emergency situations is high. Accidents at energy and housing facilities, violations of transport communication and difficulty in the movement of cars on roads, especially on mountain passes. Flooding of territories is not excluded.

There is a threat to the life and health of the population due to the possible fall of billboards, weakly fortified structures and trees, as well as breakages of power lines.
