First Deputy Governor – Chairman of the Government of the Kursk region Alexander Chepik spent a working day in the Soviet district

First Deputy Governor – Chairman of the Government of the Kursk region Alexander Chepik spent a working day in the Soviet district. The trip covered production, education and social sphere.
At the Kshensky Sugar Plant, Chepik got acquainted with how the enterprise is structured: he estimated the capacity, looked at the work of the raw materials laboratory. Since the beginning of the season, the plant has processed 190,000 tons of sugar beet and produced 27,000 tons of sugar. The team is about 280 people. A separate topic is investment projects: ventilated areas for long-term storage of beets and the Mega-boom unloading system with raw materials purification appeared at the plant.
Another point is the Soviet School No. 1, where 369 children study. Here, according to the national project "Technological provision of food security", an agrotechnological class was created. Students study chemistry and biology in depth, successfully pass the exam in these subjects, and some graduates enter the Kursk GAU, choosing the profession of a veterinarian, agronomist or mechanizer.
Chepik admitted that there is still enough work here. He spoke about the need to attract young teachers to the school under the Zemsky Teacher program and to orient children to targeted training so that after the university they return to the region, to their native land. According to Chepik, this is a task not for one municipality, but for all, and it will be solved together with the regional Ministry of Education.
The trip ended with a meeting with the pupils of the kindergarten “Sun”. The building of 1968 was overhauled in 2025 as part of the regional project "Family Support" of the national project "Family" - more than 65 million rubles were spent on repairs.
