Zheleznogorsk inter-district prosecutor's office has secured a conviction for a 25-year-old local resident. She was found guilty of fraud in receiving social payments.
In August 2024, the woman applied for support measures for citizens forced to leave their homes due to the shelling of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In the documents, she indicated an address in the Ryl district. However, the investigation found that she had not lived there for more than 10 years.
Thus, she illegally received more than 1 million 40 thousand rubles.
The court took into account the position of the state prosecutor and imposed a fine of 200,000 rubles. Some of the damage has already been recovered. The remaining 879 thousand rubles were recovered from her at the suit of the prosecutor's office. The phone used in processing payments was confiscated into the state’s income.
