5,697 young specialists arrived in the Gomel region on September 11. Of these, 1,713 people are graduates of universities, 3,984 are institutions of secondary special and vocational education. Another 739 people came to work under targeted contracts. This was reported at a hardware meeting in the regional executive committee by the Chairman of the Committee of ideological work and youth Affairs Tatyana Kruchko, writes sb.by.

In the region, we analyzed the conditions in which new personnel live. It turned out that the majority – about 60% – still remain with parents and relatives. Every fifth received housing from the organization: a total of 1,128 people, of which 313 are rented. Another 4.1% of young professionals receive full or partial compensation for rent. Own forces rent housing 8%. A little less than 5% have their own housing - about the same number live in another village in their own apartment or house. Less than 1% are renting housing in another village.
At the same time, the issue of providing housing is currently being considered for 194 people. Another 361 specialists refused the proposed housing.
As for transport accessibility, 464 young specialists are provided with a delivery to work, 132 people are transported independently.
- In the region, attention is also paid to informing young people about benefits, preferences and opportunities to improve housing conditions during employment and meetings with the leadership, Tatiana Kruchko informed.
Moreover, they care not only for specialists to know about their rights: in the districts of the region, the living conditions of those who were given rental housing or a room in a dormitory were examined, she stressed.
Feedback with young cadres in the region is also built through a questionnaire - annually until October 1, it helps to study how specialists are informed about their rights and obligations and whether they are satisfied with working and living conditions.
To promptly respond to the problematic issues of young specialists, the Gomel Regional Executive Committee launched a chatbot “Young specialists of the Gomel region”. Most often, they turn there on topics of rental housing, one-time cash assistance, conditions and work schedule.
Work on studying the quality of measures to consolidate young specialists will continue in the future, the chairman of the committee assured. More than 500 large families from the beginning of the year received a referral for housing construction in Minsk
