In the summer in the Astrakhan region rested 18 thousand children and adolescents

At the meeting of the interdepartmental commission chaired by the Governor of the Astrakhan region Igor Babushkin, it was noted that the coverage of children with organized recreation increased by 5% compared to last year. The number of participants in cultural and sports events increased by 23%. At the same time, all activities took place without incidents that threaten the health of children.

Education and Science Minister Maria Shalak said the campaign covered all three summer months. There were 195 camps, more than 300 specialized shifts were held, more than 3000 teachers were involved in the organization of leisure.

According to the press service of the governor, the head of the region drew attention to the need to comply with sanitary standards, fire and anti-terrorist safety at children's recreation facilities. Municipalities are instructed to keep the coverage of children for the next summer not below the current level. Priority is given to children of SVO participants, children with disabilities and disabilities, as well as those in difficult life situations.

A separate block is the employment of teenagers. In their spare time, more than 2,500 minors received work, including 110 who are on preventive registration. The governor instructed all executive bodies and subordinate institutions to join the creation of jobs for young people, and the regional employment agency to coordinate the process.

Meanwhile, more than 1,500 cultural events took place within the framework of the “Download Summer” project. Sports institutions organized training for more than 6,000 children. The projects “Immersion in Sport” and “Coach of the Court” were also implemented, 83 sites worked.

At the moment, the campaign is still ongoing, the commission will sum up the final results in December.
