Lyceum in Protvino doubled power
In early October, Mosoblenergo specialists completed a set of technical measures to increase the connected capacity for power supply to lyceum No. 2 in Protvino

The permitted capacity for an educational institution designed for 1.2 thousand students has more than doubled – from 115 to 248 kW. Power supply is now carried out in the second category of reliability. Within the framework of the agreement on technological connection, the power engineers audited and adjusted the distribution equipment at the power substation, installed two modern electricity metering devices, performed commissioning and control tests.
The increase in capacity ensures the stable operation of classrooms, computer classes, digital laboratories, dining room and lighting systems. The second category of reliability provides a backup power source: in case of an emergency situation on the main line, the object will be switched to a backup circuit as soon as possible.
“When we increase capacity for an educational institution, we invest in the quality of learning and the comfort of children. Lyceum in the protvino received a two-fold increase in power - this is a fundamentally different level of opportunities for the educational process. Connection in the second category of reliability is an additional level of protection for the educational environment, commented Sergey Voropanov, Minister of Energy of the Moscow Region.
