Lipchan reminded of the new rules of registration of passports

From January 2027, Russians will no longer enter information about children in the passports of parents. Residents of the Lipetsk region, like other citizens of the country, children will need their own document for foreign trips. About it RIA Novosti reported in the press service of the Ministry of internal Affairs of Russia.

The Ministry explained the change by frequent refusals to enter some European countries to children who do not have a personal passport, and the data are indicated in the documents of parents. The innovation should protect the right of Russians to freedom of movement.

Passports issued earlier with notes about children will remain valid until the expiration date. From January 20, 2026, children under the age of 14 can enter and leave Russia only with their own passport.
