- By its geographical position, Belarus is a transit state with over 100,000 km of roads. Each of them – from high-speed highways and complex interchanges to landscaped city streets – is the result of the painstaking work of designers, road workers, engineers and those who ensure traffic safety all year round.
According to the Belarusian leader, thanks to the reliability of transportation, well-coordinated work of road transport and road services, life in the country is becoming more comfortable, the transport system is more efficient, and the road infrastructure is actively developing.
- More than half of all passenger and freight traffic is carried out annually by road. And these numbers are constantly growing. Such dynamics requires the industry to constantly move forward, introduce new technologies and optimize logistics chains, Alexander Lukashenko said. I am convinced that your professionalism, dedication and dedication will allow you to implement the most ambitious projects.
He also expressed his gratitude to veterans whose experience is a solid foundation for today’s achievements.
The head of state wished motorists and road workers good health, happiness and inexhaustible energy.
- Let all our roads lead to the success and prosperity of our beloved Belarus, he said.
