Discounts do not always mean the desire of the store to reduce prices. According to the expert, shares can attract buyers, help sell unclaimed goods or make room in the warehouse for more popular positions.

Another change concerns the assortment: instead of a huge selection of identical products, retailers leave the most popular positions. Anfinogenov believes that this was used by shops near the house, while the format of hypermarkets is gradually losing ground.

According to the expert, offline stores in the future will more often act as points for quick purchases near the house or places where you can inspect the product before ordering online.
