Magnetic storm October 12, 2026: the Earth covered after a powerful impact – how to save the weather-dependent
If you wake up broken, with a heavy head and a strange weakness, it’s no coincidence

What's happening right now
The magnetic storm began on the evening of October 10 and reached G3 level - a "strong" storm on the international scale, where the G5 is extreme. According to the Solar Astronomy Laboratory, the event is caused by clouds of plasma that the Sun ejected earlier in the week.
The peak came on the evening of October 10, but the magnetosphere has not yet calmed down. By 6 a.m. on October 12, the situation was supposed to stabilize, but scientists warn that some disturbances are possible throughout the day.
Who's at risk
Magnetic storms strike primarily on the "weak spots" of the body. At risk are people with cardiovascular diseases, hypertension, who have had a stroke, as well as those who suffer from migraines and vegetative dystonia. They may have pressure surges, headaches, heart palpitations and insomnia.
Even in healthy people on such days, concentration decreases and a feeling of weakness appears.
How to survive the storm: 5 rules
Doctors advise not to be heroic and reduce the load on the body:
Light food instead of heavy. Fat, fried and smoked causes the body to spend energy on digestion. Give preference to vegetables, fruits, boiled bird or rabbit.
Water instead of coffee and tea. Caffeine and alcohol will only increase the load on the vessels. Clean water helps to thin the blood and easier to tolerate changes.
Sleep until 23:00. Ideally, at least 8 hours. Lack of sleep accumulates the stress hormone, and in combination with the storm, the body simply “folds”.
Walks without bigotry. Fresh air is good, but intense exercise is best postponed. If you are used to running, run, but do not increase the load.
Pressure control. Hypertensive patients should keep a tonometer on hand and, if necessary, adjust therapy with a doctor.
When it's over
The magnetosphere should calm down during the day. The next notable G1 storm is expected only on October 31, with moderate disturbances on October 21 and 22. So this marathon isn't forever.
