Today, on September 16, a meeting with young people called “Dialogue with the Minister” was held within the Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade. The event was organized by MART and the Belarusian Trade Union of Trade, Consumer Cooperation and Entrepreneurship Workers. Details are reported by the correspondent sb.by.

Minister of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade Artur Karpovich noted that more than 150 people participated in the meeting. These are representatives of two higher educational institutions and four secondary specialized educational institutions that train personnel for the trade industry. Among them are students and students of the Belarusian State Economic University, the Baranovichi Technological College of Belkoopsoyuz, the Minsk Branch of the Belarusian Trade and Economic University of Consumer Cooperation, the Minsk State College of Cooking, the Minsk State College of Trade and Commerce, the Molodechny Trade and Economic College. The event is also attended by young employees of the Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade.
- These are young people – our future, on which, in principle, the country will go in 10, 15, 20 years. These people will have to choose their life path, so I think it is important to lay in their minds the foundations of the worldview, attitude to their homeland, to their past, to their parents, to what surrounds them, to the Belarusian. Our task is to tell young people about history, so that they will be imbued with the meaning of this date – September 17, and tell about how the country lives today. We are ready to answer any questions of interest to the children, we are ready to talk with them quite frankly, Artur Karpovich drew the attention of journalists.

During the opening of the meeting, he addressed the participants:
- We met on the eve of an important holiday for all of us – National Unity Day. And I want today’s meeting to be not just an official event, but a real, lively dialogue, without formalism. You are the ones who will soon come to work in the trade and catering industry. And a lot depends on what your start will be, how much you will feel supported and understand where the industry is heading. So let’s talk today about what you care about – prospects, professional growth, your initiatives, and how each of you can contribute to the economic stability and unity of our country. Young people are not tomorrow. It's "today.".

Among the issues that interest young people are not only the nuances of the ministry’s work, prospects for the development of stationary and online commerce, the formation of consumer patriotism, the popularization of national cuisine, but also the view of the head of the ministry on certain spectrums of work and stages of his life. For example, the Minister was asked what key skills and competencies will be relevant in the field of trade and antitrust regulation in the next five years.
- Our industry will always demand humanity, goodwill and warm attitude towards our consumers. This is in terms of trade, catering, household services. As for the antimonopoly sphere, it is always necessary to build clear rules of the game so that both business and government bodies understand that the antimonopoly body is independent and does not adapt to anyone. That he has clear functions and tasks, said Arthur Karpovich. As for qualities, honesty, decency, responsibility in relation to what you do are important.

- But without human interaction, we will not do. There will always be people in the trading room. If this is an object of household services for the population, then it will not be possible to do without its presence there, the head of MART emphasized.
Much attention was paid to the topic of involving young people in sports, maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
- Without sports, it will be difficult for you in any team. You give birth to children, raise them on their feet, lay in them health. Therefore, each of you must find time for this, says Arthur Karpovich.

- It's up to you. If you have dedication, responsibility, desire to learn something new, do not be afraid of it. You need to ask, clarify, set goals and achieve them. Your human qualities come first anyway. Then go your knowledge and desire to improve them, develop, the ability to use them in business, – said the Minister.
Before the event, participants could get acquainted with part of the exhibits for the future trade museum, which is planned to open in the Ministry.
- Now on the second floor of our building is repairing the premises for the future museum of trade. I am sure that you will be able to visit it, possibly before the end of 2026, the minister said.

- Each of you represents your own corner of the country, and this is the meaning of the holiday we are preparing for. National Unity Day is about all of us, about what connects people all over the country, regardless of what city or district they live in, explained Artur Karpovich.
In memory of today's meeting, the participants of the event received souvenirs from MART. Among them is a book dedicated to the 100th anniversary of trade.
