Large-scale reconstructions in honor of Tanksman Day will be organized on the Stalin Line on September 12 and 13

Military-patriotic events dedicated to the Day of the tankman will be held on the territory of the historical and cultural complex “Stalin Line” on September 12 and 13, the organizers told the correspondent of the agency “Minsk-Novosti”.

The central events of the program will be two large-scale military-historical reconstructions: on September 12, Operation Bagration, and on September 13, a recreation of the battle of the Afghan war. Also on both days, a demonstration flight of the T-72 tank crew is planned with a demonstration of the capabilities of the combat vehicle and firing at the firing lines.

In addition, excursion and interactive zones, free GTO platform will work for visitors for two days. Concert performances and demonstration numbers of specialists-kinologists will also take place. Those who wish will be able to ride on the tank PT-76 or BMP-1.

The events are aimed at preserving the memory of the feat of tankmen and tank builders during the Great Patriotic War, as well as of Soviet servicemen performing international duty in Afghanistan.
