Bears in Sochi are twice as likely to go out to people: what happens to animals
In the Sochi National Park, cases of bears leaving in search of affordable food have increased

In the Sochi National Park, cases of bears leaving in search of affordable food have become more frequent. At the same time, experts do not recommend linking this behavior solely with changing the timing of winter hibernation.
Revaz Pruidze, a senior researcher at the Sochi National Park, told TASS that in the Caucasus some bears can remain active almost all year round if they have access to feed. In some cases, animals go to the dens later than usual.
According to the expert, the timing of hibernation depends primarily on weather conditions and the availability of a feed base. However, the appearance of predators near humans does not necessarily mean that bears fall asleep later or wake up earlier.
Earlier it was reported that in Sochi, they are discussing the possibility of shooting bears that are no longer afraid of people.
