International delegation of the Red Cross visited Belgorod

A delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross visited Belgorod. It was headed by the Director of the ICRC Regional Office of Operations in Europe and Central Asia, Ariana Bauer.

The guests visited the office of the Belgorod branch of the Red Cross. Its chairman Nina Ushakova spoke about working with IDPs and victims of the AFU. The office showed how the system of issuing food, hygiene and textile sets works and organizes the care of people with disabilities.

In the PVR at BelSU, the delegation met with evacuated residents. The Belgorod department reported that psychologists work weekly with the victims and organize cultural events together with the administration.

The working trip ended with a visit to the city hospital No. 2. The guests spoke to doctors and civilians who were injured. As noted in the Belgorod branch of the Red Cross, for the regional director, this visit was an opportunity to talk with the affected people.
