Pulkovo international passenger traffic grew by 8% in nine months

In January-September 2026, Pulkovo Airport served 15.6 million passengers. Of these, 3.9 million people used international flights. This was reported in the press service of the air harbor.

International transportation became the main driver of growth – passenger traffic on foreign destinations increased by 8% compared to last year.

The most popular destinations abroad were Istanbul, Antalya, Minsk, Tashkent and Sharm el-Sheikh. The largest increase was shown by flights to Egypt (plus 49%), Kazakhstan (plus 33%) and China (plus 28%).

Domestic flights remain the mainstay of traffic: in nine months, Pulkovo received and sent 11.7 million passengers. The top 5 most popular cities in Russia included Moscow, Kaliningrad, Yekaterinburg, Kazan and Sochi.

Earlier it was reported about other results of St. Petersburg for nine months of 2026. During this period, more than 18 thousand road signs and traffic lights, 42 artificial irregularities and 37 new unregulated pedestrian crossings were installed in the Northern capital. Also in the city updated almost 660 thousand square meters of markings.
