Milyaev told about the start of the work of the children’s Council under the Ministry of social protection

In the Tula region, the Children's Public Council under the Ministry of Social Protection began its work. Its creation was announced by Governor Dmitry Milyaev.

The first meeting was held at the Family MFC “My Family Center”. The council included 17 teenagers aged 12 to 18 – pupils and graduates of institutions that help families and children.

The new platform is designed to allow teenagers to speak directly about their problems, offer ideas and participate in the discussion of decisions that affect their lives in social institutions.

At the first meeting, the participants chose the chairman and his deputy, and also identified the main areas of work. The children plan to discuss living conditions, the development of mentoring and volunteering, meetings with interesting people and the organization of new classes for teenagers.

A separate topic was the notion of “difficult adolescents” and the relationship between pupils and teachers. In these matters, it is especially important to hear the opinion of the children themselves.

After the meeting, the participants visited the Tula Kremlin. The winners of the drawing contest “Tula region – through the eyes of children” were also awarded there.

Teenagers now have a platform where they can talk openly about what they care about and suggest change. Their ideas will be discussed when making decisions about living in social institutions.

Earlier, MK in Tula reported that at a forum in Krasnoyarsk, Governor Dmitry Milyaev told how running can change the Tula economy. In his opinion, one-off races do not change much - it is important to turn the interest of spectators and participants into a stable habit.
