First, the man called a pseudo-worker of the “intercom service” and, under the pretext of changing the keys, lured the code from the SMS. Further, the alleged representative of “BelGIE” came into contact and said that illegal financial transactions were carried out on behalf of the Minsk citizen.
Then a “KGC employee” entered the dialogue. He said that the fraudsters issued loans for the man for 50 thousand BYN and to “cancell” them, you need to take new loans. After learning about the presence of a resident of the capital of family savings, the swindler began to threaten the search and seizure of funds, demanding their “declaration”.
As a result, the victim handed over 25 thousand BYN to the courier, after which he issued a loan for 10 thousand BYN and transferred the money to the specified account. The fraudsters promised to return the funds after “checking”, but the next morning the applicant found that all correspondence had been deleted and communication with the “curators” had been interrupted.
The operatives established the identity of the courier - he was a 19-year-old resident of Gomel, who was also deceived by telephone fraudsters.
A criminal case has been opened.
