Mid-autumn at the Minsk Zoo is the time of the resettlement of animals in winter enclosures, the last flamingos to go there. This was reported in the press service of the Minsk zoo, writes sb.by.

- Most of our enclosures are organized so that a warm enclosed room and an outdoor walk are located next to each other and are connected to each other. Preparing animals for the cold period in this case is much easier: at any time they can simply be closed in a warm, sheltered room. There are only two species of animals in which summer and winter apartments are still not connected with each other, and therefore they have to be transplanted: in the spring - in an open enclosure, and in the winter return to a heated enclosure indoors. It's porcupines and flamingos. Both of these animals said goodbye to the summer last week and moved into winter quarters.

There is no set schedule for animal transplantation, experts said. Zootechnicians are guided by weather conditions: warm autumn - animals will go to winter later, friendly spring - will return to fresh air earlier. Fortunately, if desired, flamingos can be seen in winter: their enclosure is located near the summer, in the exotarium. We found out what awaits the winter swan with a deformed wing, which lives in the Minsk Park Photo: the website of the Minsk Zoo
