Moscow authorities congratulate Minsk residents on City Day

Chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee Vladimir Kukharev and Chairman of the Minsk City Council of Deputies Artem Tsuran congratulated Minsk residents on the City Day, the correspondent of the Minsk-Novosti agency reports.

- This year Minsk turns 959 years old – this is another significant page in the annals of our beloved capital.

Almost a millennium separates us from the moment when the city began to be built on the banks of Svisloch. Over the centuries, Minsk has endured many hardships, devastating fires and war fever, but each time it rose from the ashes. Today it is a beautiful city, a large industrial and cultural center, a city of technology, parks and cozy courtyards.

Minsk combines a careful attitude to the past and the desire for new heights. Business life is boiling here, the voices of young people are heard, factories are working, new social facilities are opening. It is cozy and safe, green and clean.
