The Ministry of transport reminded Novgorod drivers that it is time to change tires
The average daily temperature is gradually decreasing, which means that it is time to go to the tires

The average daily temperature is gradually decreasing, which means that it is time to go to the tire fittings. To delay with the replacement of summer tires for winter tires is not only dangerous, but also fraught with fines, the press service of the Ministry of Transport and Road Management of the Novgorod region reminded.
Many car owners habitually wait for the first snow, but experts advise to focus exclusively on the thermometer. Summer rubber begins to literally "blown" already at an average daily temperature of +5 ° C - +7 ° C. It is elastic, and the car begins to obey the steering wheel worse, losing traction even on perfectly clean and dry asphalt. Ignoring this fact, the driver risks losing control on the road and getting into a serious accident.
Riding with tires out of season violates technical regulations and is punishable by fines. It is strictly forbidden to move on summer tires in December, January and February, but studded wheels will have to be abandoned in June, July and August. However, common sense and concern for one’s own safety should come first before the onset of calendar winter.
Road infrastructure is also being prepared for cold weather. The services of the region have already completely switched to the winter mode of operation and are ready to respond quickly to any vagaries of the weather, clearing the tracks of snow and ice. We can only hope that drivers will support them and take care of the right shoes for their cars in time.
