Belarus is ready to share its best practices and integrated organizational technologies in the field of maternity and childhood protection. This was stated by First Deputy Minister of Health Elena Bogdan on the sidelines of the World Summit “Investing in the welfare of children: a path to sustainable and equitable development for future generations” in Samarkand (Uzbekistan).

“We are ready to share organizational technology, ranging from system orders, regulatory acts, training of specialists, procurement of medicines, domestic medical devices, organizational approaches in the treatment, rehabilitation, diagnosis of children,” said Elena Bogdan.
The First Deputy Minister elaborated on the key areas of the Belarusian healthcare system. These include multi-level perinatal technology for mothers and children, and a network of early intervention centers. “Belarus is not unique in this matter, virtually all countries of the world today are faced with the need for early diagnosis of developmental disorders of children and the earliest possible involvement of such children and their families in socialization,” Elena Bogdan explained.
The information system helps parents to identify violations in the early stages.
The republic has achieved significant success in the treatment of childhood oncological diseases. “It was stated at the forum that 60 per cent of survival was necessary. Today Belarus has overcome the threshold of 85 percent. We produce a number of necessary drugs, develop gene and cellular technologies, including CAR-T therapy. We are ready to provide our colleagues with the whole cycle: from the detection of the disease to rehabilitation and observation after, the first deputy minister stressed.
Much attention is paid in Belarus to the psychological well-being of adolescents. “The country has a system of early assistance for minors in crisis situations. We analyze each case of parasuicide in order to catch the child in time, help him find his place in life and understand that he has a future. Also an urgent topic is the problem of childhood autism, the solution of which requires integrated approaches.
Speaking about the prospects, Elena Bogdan noted the interest of Belarus in international experience in the field of healthcare digitalization. “We are actively implementing a centralized information system and forming a patient’s personal account. Before presenting it widely to the population, we must fill it with convenient and important services for maintaining health, she explained.
“Belarus is open to any international initiatives. We are ready to learn ourselves and provide our bases for training colleagues from other countries, concluded Elena Bogdan.
