“I need catharsis in the hall”: how to prepare the participants of “Star Trek” producer Evgeny Oleynik
How the team of Evgeny Oleynik works in the 5th season of Star Trek: a bet on vocals and discipline, unexpected numbers, humor and personal songs for each participant.
While the viewer waits for the air, work is underway in the training camp of the 5th season of Star Trek. Producer Evgeny Oleynik builds his team on vocals and discipline, and the main feature is the ability to surprise. How is the preparation for the broadcast in the team of Evgeny Oleynik and what will be the main feature of the show – see in the diaries of the project!
The bet is amazing
The ability to surprise producer Evgeny Oleynik considers his main feature and that is what builds his show. It breaks the format: unexpected numbers, humor, personal songs for each participant. He has a definite purpose.
“I need catharsis in the room to get goosebumps,” he says.
Voice and order
In Oleynik’s team, everything is subordinate to the main thing: voice and order. Morning begins with singing, day with rehearsals, evening with debriefing. Betting on vocals and disciplines is the foundation on which the producer builds his stars.
Evgeny is not afraid of experiments and encourages courage in the participants. His team prepares the numbers, from which the hall will freeze: here is not a song, a mini-performance, without templates, only individuality. Not everyone gets it right away, and the participants don’t hide it.
“You are used to a certain way of singing, but you are required to do something different or to do certain things. And so the moments are a bit difficult, shares one of the participants.
Humor and team spirit
Humor brings us closer, and Oleynik’s team understood this from the first days. The participants rallied and now help each other vocally.
“We hear what remarks are made by teachers, and we control each other to implement all these remarks,” the project participant notes.
Rehearsals, according to participants, are fun, with great enthusiasm. During their training, they went from the first insecure chants to complex vocal parts, from tightness to freedom on stage.
Watch the broadcast of concerts on ONT since October 31.
