A large family from the Kherson region received an award in the Kremlin

In Moscow, a solemn ceremony of awarding the winners of the All-Russian competition “Family of the Year” was held. This year, 89 families from different regions of Russia were awarded the titles of laureates – diplomas were awarded in six nominations: “Large Family”, “Young Family”, “Rural Family”, “Golden Family”, “Family – Keeper of Traditions” and “Family of the Defender of the Fatherland”.

Particular attention was attracted by the family of Yuri and Oksana Dovbnya from the village of Tavrychanka, Kherson region – they became winners in the nomination “Multiple Family”. The couple are raising 14 children: four of them are relatives, three are adopted, and seven are under guardianship.

In addition to a large family, Oksana Dovbnya has a significant public contribution: in 2022 she organized a referendum on the reunification of the Kherson region with Russia in nine settlements of the Kakhov district.

Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova stressed the importance of supporting families and preserving family values. According to her, all areas of the country’s development are set up so that families look confidently to the future, and young people can make a decision about the birth of children. The history of the Dovbnya family is an example of how love, responsibility and active citizenship become a support for loved ones and for society.
