In the shopping center "Greenwich" started working mobile vaccination office - it is located on the ground floor, next to the store "O'STIN", at the entrance to the shopping gallery from the underground passage. The point will receive visitors every Friday from 15:00 to 19:00, according to the Department of information policy of the Sverdlovsk region.
Vaccination is carried out free of charge within the framework of the national project “Long and active life”. Vaccinations are available to all residents of the Sverdlovsk region over 18 years old, for this you need to have a MHI policy with you.
At the mobile point, you can be vaccinated against influenza, diphtheria and tetanus, hepatitis B, as well as pneumococcal infection. Experts emphasize that the flu weakens the immune system and increases the risk of severe pneumococcal infection. Therefore, comprehensive protection is considered especially effective: vaccinations against influenza and pneumococcus are permissible in one day. Dual vaccination is especially recommended for residents of the region over 60 years old.
The effectiveness of the vaccination campaign last year is confirmed by the figures: then it was possible to cover 63% of the population of the region, which helped to avoid a sharp increase in the incidence and a surge of cases characteristic of epidemics (“epidemic candle”). This year, about 15% of Sverdlovsk residents have been vaccinated.
Health care workers are traditionally the most immunized. Doctors urge not to postpone vaccination and remind that there is still time to protect themselves and loved ones: at risk – and young people (including students), and older people.
On October 6, MK-Ural wrote that half of the Sverdlovsk residents infected with the flu were residents of Yekaterinburg. Over the past week, 29 thousand cases of acute respiratory infections were registered in the Sverdlovsk region. Almost half of them - 14.2 thousand - accounted for residents of Yekaterinburg. Seasonal rhinovirus dominates.
