Tomb of Hero of the Soviet Union Mikhail Volkov in the village of Verkh-Tarka of Kyshtov district included in the unified state register of cultural heritage objects of Russia

The historical monument is located on the territory of the local district hospital, on a street named after the hero himself. In archival documents, the memorial is marked by two dates: February 1957 and June 1970. The status of a cultural heritage site ensures that the burial of Lieutenant Colonel Mikhail Volkov within the boundaries of the site will remain inviolable, and its historical appearance will be preserved for future generations.
Mikhail Volkov is a legendary figure for the Novosibirsk region. A native of Upper Tarki bravely fought in the battles on Khalkhin Gol and passed the Great Patriotic War. After his death in 1957, fellow countrymen installed an obelisk on the grave with a commemorative inscription and a metal bas-relief with a profile of a warrior.
Earlier, “MK in Novosibirsk” reported that for 3.3 million rubles will prepare for the restoration of the “house with a ghost”.
