Socio-political action “Belarus Adzina”, dedicated to the Day of National Unity, continues with meetings with young people in the regions of Belarus. Today, on September 14, she was admitted to the Orsha State College of Food, reports sb.by.

The peculiarity of the action is in the informal communication of different speakers from among active representatives of youth with children on the ground. The guests of the college were the chairman of the Zhodina city organization “Patriots of Belarus” Vladislav Smanzer and the chairman of the Youth Council of the Belprofmash trade union Anika Abovyan. All 45 minutes of the meeting were held in accordance with the initial setting of the speakers - they talked about the important things, without boring monologues.

- Our meeting is timed to coincide with the youngest, but very deep in meaning state holiday - National Unity Day. September 17 is not just a date on the calendar. It is a symbol of the restoration of justice and the return of integrity to the Belarusian lands. This is a day when we remember that our strength lies in our shared history, culture and cohesion.

Recalling the pages of history and discussing current realities, the meeting participants shared their opinion on why September 17 is a holiday not only about the past, but also about the future for Belarusians.
The deep meaning of this date was emphasized by second-year student Anastasia Levchuk:
- This day symbolizes an act of historical justice, so I consider this holiday the foundation of our future. Remembering the events of 1939, we pay homage to previous generations and think about the importance of protecting our country. I am proud that such a holiday exists in our country.

The general idea was summed up by Vladislav Smanzer:
- It is important to remember that when everyone for himself loses integrity and unity, there is a great risk of losing the country and cease to be a people. Yes, we are all different, but we are together: we are all united by our native and beloved Belarus. Here is our home, our roots, childhood memories and true friends, a place where we are always welcome, where we will be supported and understood. The choice we make ourselves – how to live, who to love, what to believe, who to become. But only together we can go through any tests. Unity is the voice of the heart and the feeling that unites everyone. Belarus begins with each of us, with responsibility for our words and actions, responsibility for our family and the fate of our country.

Filled with various interactive and relaxed atmosphere, the conversation helped the children to find simple answers to complex questions, as well as to think about their role in the fate of the Motherland. First-year student Elena Bayusheva shared her opinion with the speakers about what, in her opinion, she can personally do for the unity of Belarus:
- I understand that unity begins with each of us – with respect for the people around us, with respect for history and culture. Now I can study, learn more about my country, participate in college events dedicated to National Unity Day. I can tell my friends why this holiday is important. For me, this is not just words, but a responsibility, because our unity is the result of the efforts of many generations, and I want it to be preserved and strengthened.
