Fraudsters deceived the inhabitants of Pskov, Great Luke and Nevel

Another series of phone and Internet scams resulted in millions of losses for residents of the Pskov region. According to the investigation, the attackers lured from the citizens almost 3 million rubles, using both classic and new schemes of deception.

As the police found out, various tricks were used. Someone “bank employees” under the threat of losing all savings strongly advised to transfer money to a mythical “safe account”. Other victims were caught on Internet sites when buying cast car discs. And someone lost money trying to “unlock” their cloud storage on the instructions of false specialists.

The deceived citizens came to their senses in time and turned to the police. For all the facts of fraud, the investigative units have already opened criminal cases. Law enforcement officers once again remind: do not believe calls about “safe accounts” and do not transfer money to strangers on the Internet.
