A similar scheme of deception has been used before, but now the scammers have again intensified. During the correspondence, the pseudo-head warns about the upcoming inspection in the organization and declares about the alleged call from the State Control Committee. To give credibility, attackers use photos of managers posted in open sources.
Currently, the operatives of the units to combat cybercrime are checking these facts.
Law enforcement officers reminded of the need to be vigilant when communicating in messengers. It is important to pay attention to the number from which the message comes, because the name or photo of the sender does not confirm its identity. If there are doubts about the reliability of information, it is recommended to contact the organization by official number. In addition, you should refuse to click on suspicious links, you do not need to transfer personal and banking data to strangers, and you should not fulfill the requirements of unknown persons.
In case of receiving such messages or the fact of fraud, it is necessary to report it by phone 102 or contact the territorial body of internal affairs.
