MTW handed over 28 new tractors with precision farming systems to agricultural colleges

Today, on October 21, on the territory of OJSC MTZ, a ceremony was held to present keys from 28 tractors "BELARUS 1523.3" to representatives of agricultural colleges from all over the country. Details from the scene are reported by sb.by correspondent.

It is noted that the equipment for institutions of secondary special education acquired the Academy of national education. The delivery was part of a large-scale work on updating the material and technical base of agricultural colleges and training specialists who will be familiar with modern technologies from the first days of work.

As noted by the rector of the Academy of National Education Olga Rybabelyeva, the renewal program is designed for a five-year period and is financed from the budget:

- As part of the implementation of the State Program “Intellectual Belarus” for 2026-2030, it is planned to strengthen the material and technical base of many educational institutions. Special attention is paid to institutions of secondary special education. In 2026, it is planned to purchase 76 tractors, 33 have already been delivered. Today, another 28 tractors were transferred to agricultural colleges of our country.

Of particular value is the equipment of equipment with precision farming systems, which allows to prepare students based on advanced technologies that are now being introduced in the agro-industrial complex.

- It is necessary to express gratitude to the Minsk Tractor Plant for the fact that these tractors are equipped with a precision farming system. This will make the training of our students in agricultural colleges ahead. Coming to the place of their work, they will be familiar with this system and will be able to apply the knowledge gained directly in practice, the rector stressed.

The speaker also announced the next stage of the program: in 2027, the Ministry of Education plans to equip each region of the country with robotics and automation centers. These centers will be intersectoral in nature and will work to increase the percentage of robotization of production within the framework of the socio-economic development program.

In turn, the general designer of OJSC MTZ Igor Zemtsov explained why the transferred equipment meets the needs of modern agriculture.

- The models are modern, they meet modern requirements - what is really happening now on the market, what is really happening in operation, the representative of the plant said. Of course, they are supplemented by a precision farming system. Training is now necessary only with these improvements. Because when you get to a particular job, you're going to run into these machines. We must always teach, even a little ahead of time: while they learn, we develop, produce new models, add changes.

According to him, the plant is working on new developments that are being tested and receive positive feedback from farms. In parallel, previously produced equipment is also being refined.

- We are making major improvements, changes, preparing for the next level of tractor construction. The world does not stand still, the units are also developing strongly, new requirements for hydraulics, for aggregation. We must not lag behind modern trends and stick to them, the designer emphasized.

Director of the Polotsk State Agrarian and Technical College Anna Grishkevich came to the ceremony for a new tractor for her institution. The College prepares a wide range of specialists: tractor drivers, welders, electricians, masons, drivers, as well as vegetable growers, gardeners and secretaries:

- Today we are very grateful to the factory, the Academy of National Education for such a gift. This is a modern, high-quality tractor with a navigation system, with a precision farming system. We want to train children with such equipment so that they can drive from our bench, come to production and benefit our state, the real sector of the economy.

According to her, the teachers of the college are ready to work on new technology: they undergo training every year to keep up with modern technologies. The tractor immediately after the ceremony will be registered and sent to the training ground to prepare students in the specialty.
