Mural with a portrait of Marshal Vasilevsky updated in Krasnokamensk

In Krasnokamensk updated mural with the image of Marshal of the Soviet Union Alexander Vasilevsky on the facade of the house No. 30C. The work was carried out thanks to a grant from Rosatom. This was reported in the MAKS-channel of the Government of the Trans-Baikal Territory.

The portrait of the commander a few years ago was created by Chita artist Alexei Litvinets to the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. Now the image has become more detailed, and the composition was supplemented with a landscape of the Argun River valley and a quote from the memoirs of the marshal: “Homeland is our main wealth.”.

First Deputy General Director of PIMCU Oleg Proskuryakov noted that such projects help not only to improve the city, but also to preserve historical memory.

Recall that in August 1945, under the command of Alexander Vasilevsky, Soviet troops conducted the Manchurian offensive operation, during which they defeated the Kwantung Army of Japan.
