Murmanskavtodor received a warning because of possible snow and ice on the roads

The state regional state institution for the management of roads of the Murmansk region received a warning from the traffic police department of the inter-municipal department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia “Apatitsky”. This follows from the information on the website of the Prosecutor General.

The department warned the owner of the roads about weather conditions. After all, from October 10 to October 30, 2026, snow with rain and snowfall are expected in the Murmansk region, which can affect the danger of the region's roads.

On the roads of Apatit and Kirov districts should not be loose or melted snow on the roadway, winter slipperiness, snow on the roadsides and sidewalks, as well as snow ramparts at pedestrian crossings and stops. According to GOST, after snow cleaning on the roadway, snow and winter slipperiness are not allowed. During snowfall or blizzards, loose snow of a certain thickness is allowed depending on the road category.

Earlier, “MK in Murmansk” said that Murmanskavtodor will repair the section of the road “Kirovsk — Koashva” after the warning.
