According to the traffic police, over the past week in the region there were several accidents on different sections of roads. Accidents were recorded in Murmansk, Apatity and Monchegorsk, as well as on the roads “Kirovsk – Koashva” and “Kola – Weekend”.
In variable weather conditions, drivers are advised to choose speed, taking into account the state of the road surface and visibility, observe distance and avoid sharp maneuvers. Particular care should be taken when overtaking, on turns and before pedestrian crossings.
Pedestrians are advised to cross the road only in permitted places, make sure that drivers have time to stop, and use reflective elements in the dark. It is also important for cyclists to follow traffic rules and monitor the traffic situation.
Motorists are reminded of the seasonal preparation of the car. With the onset of cold weather, you should install winter tires in a timely manner, and when choosing a speed, take into account not only restrictions, but also real conditions on the road.
During the cold snap, even the usual routes require increased attention. Compliance and caution will help reduce the risk of accidents.
Earlier, “MK in Murmansk” reported that on the highway “Kola” Mitsubishi drove into the ditch and injured a person.
