Man lived for five years with a denture in the bronchi

In the Primorsky Territory, doctors removed a denture from the respiratory tract of a 43-year-old man who lived with a foreign object for almost five years and did not seek help out of fear. The operation was reported by the regional Ministry of Health. During this time, the patient's condition worsened, and the disease was complicated by purulent pneumonia and the formation of an abscess.

The man was hospitalized in the clinical hospital No. 2 of the Primorsky Territory. He knew that a foreign object had hit the airway, but he hid what had happened for a long time and avoided doctors.

During this period, the patient was repeatedly treated for bronchitis. However, his condition continued to deteriorate. Examination in the hospital allowed to establish that the cause of the problems was a foreign body in the bronchi.

As specified in the Ministry of health of the region, the dental design is firmly entrenched in the intermediate bronchi and completely overgrown with fabric. The doctors decided to perform the operation and removed the prosthesis.

After the intervention, the man remained in the Department of Surgery and Transfusion. The pneumonia he developed was complicated by an abscess, so the patient continues treatment.
