Interior Ministry: law enforcement officers in the fight against fraud suspended operations on 72 accounts

Over the past day, the police received more than 300 reports of phone calls scammers. Thanks to the efficiency of internal affairs officers and the vigilance of citizens, the vast majority of atrocities were prevented. This was reported in the interior Ministry, writes sb.by.

29 crimes committed using information and communication technologies were registered.

The department of the organization of processing fraudulent operations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs initiated the blocking of 7 phishing Internet resources, blocked the possibility of payments to 20 foreign payment details used by attackers, suspended expenditure operations on 72 accounts.

According to the method of committing illegal acts, buying goods on the Internet and trading on financial exchanges are leading. Then there are visching on behalf of officials (phone fraud), theft using social networks and rental housing.
