Volunteers of the “Good Heart” BRSM movement continue to provide assistance at autumn agricultural fairs to the elderly, veterans and people with disabilities. This Saturday, October 24, the relay of the good marathon was picked up by students of the Belarusian State College of Arts: eight activists were on duty at the fair at the Palace of Railway Workers in the Oktyabrsky district of Minsk.

Arriving at the venue of the fair, the guys first of all re-dress in the corporate merch movement - black windbreakers and red vests with the logo. It is easy to recognize them among other people. In addition, to indicate the purpose of their presence at the fair, a banner is taken to the beginning of the shopping series. While the guys are finishing the preparations, we meet. College freshman Anton Bolshakov already has experience in volunteering:
- At his school in the agro-town of Krupitsa helped a veteran of pedagogical work: together with classmates cleared the local territory from snow. He also participated in a charity show for children with disabilities. I am convinced that volunteering benefits not only those to whom it is aimed, but also the volunteers themselves. It helps to build leadership qualities and find new friends among the same like-minded people.

But for a classmate of Anton Alexei Matsul, work at the fair, we can say, was the debut: before that, the guy had never tried himself in volunteering. Therefore, when the curator of the group asked who wants to join the action, Lesha responded one of the first:
- I wanted to know what it was like to be a volunteer. I hope there will be a chance to prove myself. Our task is to help the elderly navigate the fairgrounds when choosing goods, as well as deliver heavy bags and bags with purchased products.

- You know, I also have an elderly grandparent. They live in the Kopylsky district, and I would really like someone to help them when they go shopping for the fair.
But the third-year students of the college Nikita Zhigadlo, Alexander Zimin and Petr Romanov this autumn are on duty at the fair for the second time - for the first time happened in September. Then volunteers helped five residents with the delivery of products, Nikita recalls:
- When the curator offered to go to work again, willingly agreed. Who will ask, “Why do I need this?” It is simple: selfless help to others in the soul becomes more pleasant.
