On a small ecological trail of the Derevyanitsky Park, stands with interesting information were installed, the press service of the park reported and invited Novgorod residents to walk and admire autumn nature.
The stands were established by the autonomous non-profit organization “Dobry Novgorod” within the framework of the project “Natural Routes of Veliky Novgorod” with the support of the Presidential Grants Fund. On the stands placed QR-codes, which you can go to the audio guide. Under the same project, eco-walks and phyto excursions are held in the park.
The ecological trail "Natural Journal of Derevyanitsky Park" is dedicated to the memory of Elena Mikhailovna Litvinova - an outstanding biologist, ecologist, candidate of biological sciences, one of the authors and editor of the Red Book of the Novgorod region (2015). With her active participation in our region there were such natural monuments as “Miracle pond at Moika station”, “Hill with rare plant species near the village of Lyudyatino”, “Valley of the Batutinka River” and others. Elena Litvinova died in July 2025 after a serious illness.
The improvement of the Derevyanitsky Park has been carried out since 2022. During this time, pedestrian and bicycle paths were laid here, simulators and tennis tables were installed, lighting was held, children's playgrounds were built. Ecotrope was the next step of improvement. Now Novgorod residents and guests of the city will be able not only to walk comfortably in nature, but also to improve their knowledge of nature.
