In Kamchatka arrested a foreigner for extortion with violence

As reported in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky city court on the platform “Max”, the court granted the petition of the investigator and detained a foreign citizen accused of extortion with the use of violence.

According to investigators, the man who recently arrived in Kamchatka, under the pretext of returning the money he allegedly lent to the victim, using violence and threatening to kill, demanded 100 thousand rubles. During the trial, it turned out that he was repeatedly brought to administrative responsibility, negatively characterized at the place of temporary registration, behaves defiantly and adheres to the ideology of an extremist organization banned in Russia, representing a criminal subculture.

Taking into account the public danger of the crime, the identity of the defendant, the lack of permanent income and foreign citizenship, the court concluded that he could continue criminal activity, hide or put pressure on the victim. The measure of restraint was taken into custody for two months.
