On the Kurgan of Glory in Gomel solemnly held in reserve the soldiers of the border group

Today, on October 22, on the Mound of Glory in Gomel, solemn escorts were held for servicemen of the Gomel border group who have served the established terms of service on call. In honoring the military conscripts who have fulfilled their duty to the Motherland, the public of the city, the command of the military unit 1242, colleagues-border guards and relatives of the soldiers who served, took part.

Kind words of gratitude for the conscientious service for the protection of the State Border of the Republic of Belarus, which in the Gomel region passes with Ukraine, said the commander of the border group Dmitry Vinnikov. He presented awards, certificates of honor and gratitude to the border guards who were leaving the reserve and noted that there are no former border guards. To protect the Motherland, their relatives and relatives will have in civilian life.

- During our service, we have passed a very responsible path in our lives, gained the knowledge, skills and practical skills that the Motherland and us need for reliable protection of the state border. We were imbued with such words as “comrade” and “border fraternity”, when shoulder to shoulder carried out the combat tasks assigned to us.

- Thank you to the commanders of the units, the command of the border group and all the officers and warrant officers who helped us in the difficult military service and trained us. We are leaving the reserve, but there are those who will continue to guard the border. This is our promise to those who are faithful and faithful. We will never forget serving in the border troops, and now we have a new holiday on May 28 – Border Guard Day.
