The famous granite ball stands on a pedestal without water, despite the fact that official statements about the closure of the fountain season in the Northern capital were not reported. Usually this design attracts many people who want to make beautiful shots, but now it looks abandoned.

The journalist of “MK in St. Petersburg” tried to call the press service of the State Unitary Enterprise “Vodokanal”, headed by Vitaly Pirogov, to find out when the fountain season officially ends in the Northern capital. However, it was not possible to get a clear answer to this question because they did not pick up the phone.

For comparison, the fountain season in Peterhof this year will officially last until November 4 inclusive. However, according to the press service of the museum-reserve, if frost strikes, the work of the fountains can be stopped early to ensure the safety of the system. As for the city fountains, the Little Garden water was blocked noticeably before the official deadlines, leaving tourists without the usual attraction.
