More than 130 convicts received assistance under the law on probation

In the Orel region, employees of the penitentiary inspection continue to help citizens serving sentences to adapt to normal life. Since the beginning of this year, more than 130 people have received assistance in employment, restoration of documents and registration of social support under the law “On probation”.

As noted in the press service of the Federal Penitentiary Service, the main purpose of this work is to help people who stumble back into society and prevent repeated crimes. Inspection specialists individually analyze the situation of each ward and involve social services and employment centers in solving problems.

For example, a convicted disabled person of the 3rd group from the Kromsky district, the inspection officers together with the personnel center "Work of Russia" helped to choose a vacancy of an auxiliary worker taking into account his health and education level, as well as to issue state social assistance. Another convict, who was registered, was assisted in the restoration of a lost passport.
