For the tests, specialists built a highway on a reduced scale. The length of the experimental segment was 1.5 kilometers. At this site, 207 rails, 56 plates for switches and 4140 knots of fasteners were mounted.
To check the operability of the design sent the train “Sapsan”. In total, he made 210 flights. Of these, 130 times the train traveled in a straight line (speed reached 230 kilometers per hour) and 80 times along the side path (up to 140 kilometers per hour).
In parallel with the tests of the canvas, the first trains are being assembled: sea trials of the head train will begin next summer. The Ural Locomotives plant has already welded the hulls of 24 cars, which will last for three trains.
