The construction of a backup pumping station continues at the Sengileevsky reservoir, which will become part of the complex of facilities providing water supply to Stavropol, and will assume the functions of an alternative water supply route if necessary. The frame of the station building is fully ready at the facility, the walls of the engine room and water supply chambers are equipped.
Specialists laid the connecting section of the water pipe and began to install the switching unit at the insertion site into the existing water conduit. In parallel, contractors complete the cladding of the frame of the building, equip electrical networks, clean drainage trays along the track of the operating water duct, repair supports and mount shut-off valves.
Complete construction is planned by the end of the year.
The head of Stavropol Ivan Ulyanchenko said that the new station will increase the reliability of the water supply of the regional center: today the city depends on a single water conduit, and any failure on it creates a risk of water shortages for hundreds of thousands of residents. The backup unit will allow you to quickly switch flows and carry out repair work without disconnecting consumers.
Earlier, the Governor said that improved water supply for almost three thousand residents of Andropov district.
